Shut Off Dampers

Shut Off Damper

Flamgard's Shut Off / Isolation dampers are designed to provide low leakage levels when subjected to high static pressures. The rigid twin skin trafford aerofoil blade design has enhanced stiffness which permits individual blade lengths of 1200mm to be used without the need for center mullions. Ideally suited for fan shut-off duty, these dampers are often installed with vertical blade axis when positioned directly at the discharge of a centrifugal fan scroll, to minimise turbulence and pressure losses. Tolerant of arduous duct conditions, these dampers perform with minimal maintenance within hot gas airflow systems

Calidair Heavy Duty Shut-Off Dampers

Flamgard-Calidair types CCD-01 and CCD-02
Generally this type of damper is used to either balance or control the flow of air through ducts. The final application of this type of damper will often define the damper's description, these may include:

• Volume control
• balancing
• modulating
• shut-off
• smoke control
• bypass
• isolation.

The CCD -01 control damper is basically the same design as the CFD-01 fire damper and shares many components. The only major difference is the Firelock blade design of the CFD-01.

Pressure Control Dampers

Pressure Control Damper

Flamgard's Pressure Relief and Non Return damper products are identical dampers, each fitted with an adjustable counterweight system to suit the individual application of each product. Pressure relief dampers can be used as a static relief flap for overpressure situations or in the dynamic control of air pressure within a space or room. Non return dampers are used to prevent recirculation or back-flow of ventilation air. Particularly useful as a low cost solution to prevent air recirculation through an idle standby fan of a duty and standby ventilation fan configuration. Both styles of this improved damper design provide low leakage performance on return airflow.

Inlet Vane Dampers

Inlet Vane Damper

Flamgard's Inlet Vane dampers are rigidly designed to meet the industry demands of zero downtime and low maintenance. The use of I.V.D.'s at fan inlets saves energy in two ways:
1. At fan start-up a closed I.V.D. isolates fan inlet, allowing the rotor to turn without air loading when at speed the I.V.D. is opened.
2. During running the optimum angle setting of the radial vanes causes the incoming air to 'swirl' in the running direction of the turning fan rotor.

Size Range
• 300mm diameter to 2000mm diameter.

Construction
• Full stainless steel grade 304 or 316.
• Steel/stainless combinations available.
